Canadian Alpine Classics is a large format hard-cover coffee-table book showcasing approximately 70 of Canada's most celebrated alpine routes. This exciting 'best-of Canada' collection defines a treasury of world-class mountaineering from British Columbia and Alberta into the far northern Arctic. The majority of climbs are at popular grades of difficulty on rock and ice on famous peaks. Others are epic testpieces of fortitude and willpower on hard routes, and beautiful climbs on easy terrain. Canadian Alpine Classics has climbs and challenge for everyone.

Over sixty guest contributors are writing unique personal stories of successful ascents, covering every climb with a wonderful collection of evocative literature to inspire climbers around the world. The Climbers Guide to Squamish

The New Edition from Kevin McLane and Andrew Boyd

Kevin McLane, who has been authoring the Climbers Guide to Squamish since 1992, has been joined by Andrew Boyd to co-author a major new edition of this famous guide. As with all new High Col guides, it will be in full colour and at a larger size than previous editions. Since the 2005 edition was released, the Smoke Bluffs and the Malamute have become protected areas and Squamish has seen many hundreds of new pitches developed across the full range of multi-pitch climbs on the Chief and Slhanay (the Squaw), the crags of the Smoke Bluffs, Cheakamus sport and in new areas that have been opened up. This edition will have many new features not yet seen in a Squamish guide.

Central BC Rock : Redux Edition

An eBook from Lyle Knight

Lyle Knight’s guide to Central BC Rock has been out of print for several years, but is being readied for re-release as an inexpensive PDF format eBook. Climbs covered will include the Marble Canyon area, climbing areas to the north, and crags and areas not since covered by other guidebooks. This is a Redux edition which is essentially the same as the original 1996 guide, but will include some new climbs and crags.

This is the companion Volume to Canadian Alpine Classics, a select guide to approximately 250 of the finest alpine climbs of Canada. The geographic scope ranges from Baffin Island to Vancouver Island, and from the Yukon to the southern Rockies and the Coast Ranges. Climbs listed will be detailed with topos, approach information, maps and route descriptions, and hundreds of photos of Canada’s greatest mountains. This book will be an action-oriented national treasure.
